William Contaxis III

William (Bill) Contaxis serves as Executive Vice President, Marmon Holdings, Inc. and Group President, Colson Medical. Bill was promoted to this role in November 2022 after serving as President of Marmon Water, Inc. since January 2019. While at Marmon Water, Bill led a steady path of growth focused on innovation, collaboration, and transformation.

Bill joined Marmon in 2015 as General Manager of the North American Retail Water Softening segment of EcoWater Systems. In January 2016, he was named President of Graver Technologies, an industrial water filtration company within Marmon Water. Later that year, Bill became Senior Vice President – Food Service & Filtration where he led the start-up effort for Marmon Water Foodservice along with the filtration businesses of KX Technologies and Filtrex Technologies.

Bill came to Marmon after a 20-year career at CUNO/3M Company, where he held key functional and business leadership roles for the global water filtration platform. He held multiple technical positions of increasing responsibility over 13 years, concluding with Vice President of Engineering, Product Development and Regulatory Affairs for the Water and Life Sciences filtration divisions. During this time, Bill helped to develop numerous new products and manufacturing processes and was a named inventor or co-inventor on 15 granted U.S. patents.

He spent the next seven years as Strategic Business Unit Leader and General Manager for 3M Purification’s Global Water and Air filtration platforms. Bill and his team successfully led this division to become the largest and fastest growing business unit within 3M Purification.

Bill earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Connecticut.
