| Marmon Water Expands With KX Industries Acquisition |
|
(July 14, 2007)-Marmon Water LLC, through a subsidiary, has acquired the assets of KX Industries, Limited Partnership, a leading supplier of residential water filtration systems that provide consumers with purified tap water and an environmentally friendly alternative to bottled water. Capstone Advisory Group LLC served as receiver and Robert W. Baird & Co. acted as advisor to KX Industries. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Based in Orange, Connecticut, KX supplies extruded carbon block used in residential filtration systems and refrigeration filtration. Marmon Water comprises more than a dozen companies that supply water treatment and filtration products and systems to residential and industrial customers globally. “We see great growth opportunities in a business that helps meet the universal need for clean, safe, affordable water in an environmentally responsible way” Marmon Water President John Goody said. “Carbon filtration systems remove impurities while leaving important water-soluble minerals, and the cost benefits of using tap water speak for themselves. What's more, filtered tap water is a clear alternative to the waste inherent in the manufacture and disposal of plastic bottles.” Going forward, the KX business will operate as Marmon Water companies operate within three groups. Marmon Water companies are members of The Marmon Group, an international association of more than 125 business units that operate independently within diverse business sectors. Member businesses have collective revenues of $7 billion and employ 21,500 people worldwide.
